Sister City Workshops

Sister City Workshops are now held annually in both the North Island and the South Island.  The purpose of the workshops is to enable those involved directly with sister city exchanges to get together to discuss new ideas and innovations, share best practice, learn from each other and gain knowledge of opportunities for further developing our sister city programmes.

The one-day workshops are conducted at no charge with the support of member council hosts invited by SCNZ Inc. to assist.   They are held in different parts of both islands each year to make them fully accessible to all interested in sister city exchanges.  While primarily aimed at supporting the work of community and local government practitioners at the service delivery level, those engaged in policy and governance are also encouraged to attend.

The workshops aim to complement the annual New Zealand Sister City Conference by enhancing information-sharing opportunities for everyone connectied with New Zealand's extensive and active sister city network.
